The main differences between the remarkable 2022 Cadillac XT5 and the distinguished XT6 include size and price. The XT5 is slightly cheaper and smaller than the XT6, but the XT6 offers superior performance features and cargo space.
“Primed for performance.” – The 2022 XT5 and XT6 come standard with a 2.0L Turbo 4-cylinder engine that is capable of producing up to 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. It pairs with a 9-speed automatic transmission and FWD capabilities. For both SUVs, you can upgrade to a 3.6L V6 engine that can get up to 310 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque. Regardless of which engine you choose, you’ll see the same 9-speed automatic and FWD pairing. However, you can unlock AWD capabilities with a simple upgrade and enjoy 310 horsepower. The SUVs are also built with performance features including Electronic Precision Shift, electronic traction control, Hitch Guidance with Hitch View, Smart Towing, and more. When it comes to towing, the XT5 offers up to 1,000 pounds in towing capacity, while the XT6 can tow up to 4,000 pounds.
“An interior fit for greatness.” – The XT5 is crafted with luxe materials like leather upholstery and wood trim, but it also offers an array of first-class features. The SUV seats up to 5 passengers, and while the rear seating offers optimal space and available heating capabilities, the front seats take things one step further with built-in lumbar support and heating/ventilation capabilities. The SUV also comes with an 8″ Driver Information Center and an 8″ Cadillac User Experience display that pairs with a Bose premium 8-speaker audio system. The CUE offers a number of connectivity features including Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a SiriusXM with 360L trial subscription, available built-in navigation, and features a Bluetooth hands-free system for convenience and safety.
The 2022 XT6 is similarly designed with luxe materials and comfort features. However, the XT6 seats up to 7 passengers and offers more cargo space than the XT5. Plus, the rear seats can be upgraded to captain’s chairs in the second row. In terms of technology, the XT6 offers the same Driver Information Center and Cadillac User Experience display.

The exterior of the Cadillac XT6 offers a larger, boxier design and Cadillac-exclusive features. The SUV comes in eight various colors, including Latte Metallic, and pairs with your choice between eight stylish wheel designs.
