The Cadillac Escalade and the Chevy Tahoe offer near-identical performance and capability. However, the Tahoe starts with 383 lb-ft of torque, while all trim levels of the Escalade offer 460 lb-ft. Both SUVs can be equipped with 2WD or 4WD capabilities and a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Escalade offers a 6.2L V8 engine with 227 horsepower, and a 3.0L Duramax Turbo Diesel engine with 420 horsepower. The Tahoe offers the same engine options, except the standard engine is only a 5.3L V8 instead of a 6.2L V8.
